BLCK STREAM
As a musical artist, BLCK Stream has a remarkable versatility. His HOMESICK cypher tape brought together many of the vocalists in the city, showcasing the homegrown rap talent growing from Kumasi. Each artist shines on their verses - with BLCK Stream’s own verse featuring the message of “collaborate, don’t compete” - a call to action for his community. He also has a monthly radio show on Oroko Radio (Ghana based online radio) where he highlights the talent from his city, Kumasi. A strong community builder, he has been using his musical expression to push forward lesser heard artists & music to far off places through channels like radio, curated events & performances.
BLCK Stream has also recently released a single with UK artist Mina, called Abunuabuna, a sound he calls “Kete & Bass.” This track is a 182bpm rolling banger, filled with syncopated percussion and heavy bass - rooted in the local and the global. We’re excited to see how this new sound evolves in the future!
